11:11 Theatre Presents ‘Foreverendia’

This winter, 11:11 Theatre Company presents its third play of four productions in the 2009-2010 season, “Leave the Light On: Four Plays in Search of Home.” Foreverendia, by Brian Tuttle, opens Feb. 26 and runs through Mar. 6. It is hosted by the Boston Factory Theatre in the South End, 791 Tremont Street (MBTA orange line to Mass Ave). Performances will be Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m., and tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door.

In Foreverendia, joy rules and sadness doesn’t exist. In Foreverendia, creativity reigns. Dreams are reality wrapped in a blanket of snow. Ambitious adolescents Nim, Bailey, Lawrence, and make-believe Mr. Babbles find ways to escape the problems of their home lives. In Foreverendia, bliss lasts forever.

Or until you grow up, and realize that you’ve got problems just like your parents. That they need to be rectified. That, maybe, they’re the same problems – or maybe, they’re not problems at all. An ailing father. A manic-depressive mother. Religion. Wealth. In Foreverendia, the imaginary country that only a child’s imagination could concoct, there are answers. At least that’s what the nostalgic grown-ups hope as they revisit their land of wonder, excitement, and purity.
