Bad Habit Productions presents ‘An Ideal Husband’

Bad Habit Productions presents the comedy An Ideal Husband, by Oscar Wilde, on December 3 – 13 at The Durrell Theatre at the YMCA Cambridge in Cambridge, MA.

Oscar Wilde’s An Ideal Husband Premieres December 3rd
An Ideal Husband is a story based in late nineteenth century Victorian England about blackmail, corruption, and what people will do to make it to the top. When the deliciously manipulative Mrs. Chevely attempts to ruin Robert Chiltern’s perfect political career (and marriage!) by divulging what was thought to be a long-forgotten secret, Robert’s best friend, Lord Goring—a charming, overindulged professional bachelor—comes to the rescue (or so he thinks). Mistaken identities, concealed feelings, and scandals ensue in a war of wit battled before the eyes of the ever-present parlor portraits. BHP Artistic Director Daniel Morris directs. The cast features Sasha Castroverde, Tom Giordano, Adam Kassim, and Anna Waldron. The production is stage managed by Kristin Williams and produced by Daniel Morris and Lauren K. Terry.

Bad Habit Productions will also be displaying an art exhibition during the run of An Ideal Husband. Boston area artists have submitted works that are in some way representative of Wilde’s themes. The art exhibition will be hung in the lobby and theatre an hour before each show time and information about the artists and their works will be available.

Bad Habit Productions Presents Comedy on Tap Every Third Sunday of the Month
Every third Sunday of the month is BHP comedy showcase—Comedy on Tap—at The Burren in Davis Square, featuring improv, sketch comedy, and stand-up. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door.
