The Gold Dust Orphans Bring Back ‘All About Christmas Eve’ for the Holidays

The Gold Dust Orphans round out their 2009 season, with the return of their holiday hit All About Christmas Eve which will be presented at the Machine Theater from Dec. 4th through Dec. 27th with performances on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 pm and Sunday Matinees at 5pm.

Must we tell you what it’s based on?

Cue music:

Boston: Christmas 1950.

This is the story of an aging actress named Margo Channing.

Margo has it all! A successful career, close friends, a man who loves her. The world lays calmly at her feet … until the day she meets EVE! … Eve … That ambitious young actress clawing her way to the top of the tree … determined to be a STAR! … Watch in horror as Eve, her stockings full of coal, begins to destroy everything she touches, filling the seasonal stage with greed, corruption and avarice! … In short, all the the things we love about Christmas!

This is the story of Margo, true … but also of her friends … Birdie, Lloyd, Karen and Bill … and a critic named Addison DeWitt.

But mostly, this is the story of Eve. Eve, who pretended to be everyone’s friend … when they were really nothing but her TOYS!
This is a holiday story about Eve … … All About Christmas Eve in fact!

As always with this time of year, the Orphans remain committed to bringing you the very best in holiday entertainment. And as always, All About Christmas Eve is proud to boast the return of our original all-star cast! … Afrodite, Penny Champayne, Olive Another, Ryan Landry, Chris Loftus, Gene Dante, Larry Coen and of course Neil Graham as Addison DeWitt.

Directed by James P. Byrne, All About Christmas Eve features costumes by Scott Martino and the glorious House of Turbulance. The sets are naturally by the shy yet controversial Mike “Breezy” Brisbois.
