Watertown Children’s Theatre is working on an unprecedented collaboration for this fall. WCT’s Dinah Lane Theatre Arts (DLTA) Fund is producing a performance of Roxbury Repertory Theater’s IRNE nominated The Miracle Worker, directed by Marshall Hughes, featuring actors from Perkins School for the Blind, and hosted by WCT and the Arsenal Center for the Arts. The event is set for Sunday, October 11, 2009, and includes a FREE workshop at 12:30 pm and performance at 2 pm, in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts in Watertown, MA.
The involved organizations are thrilled to unite our respective communities in order to present this performance and supplementary workshop free of charge to a diverse audience from Roxbury, Watertown, and Greater Boston at large. This partnership is the product of both the DLTA Fund’s goal of presenting free and accessible theatre events as well as WCT’s mission to be a cultural and educational resource for the community by providing a range of theatre experiences for children of diverse cultures.
