Three best friends are off on their yearly hunting trip deep in the woods of Illinois. Seemingly, they know each other very well, but discover they don’t know each other at all. The characters include a pro-Bush, pro-war politician, and a loving dog, Lady, who just wants to be a good girl. One of them won’t survive the day.
Lady explores how these long-term friends have grown apart because of their views of politics and war. Is America the one to forcibly spread democracy around the world? Is killing justified? Is an eighteen year old ready and able to make a life-changing decision about enlisting? We get to know what these three men are about as they reveal themselves to each other – which prove to be a revelation to themselves, as well.
